In Banderas Bay south of Puerto Vallarta is the Los Arcos de Mismaloya National Marine Park, a magical space for swimming, diving, snorkeling, kayaking and more.
These beautiful islands stand out among visitors and tourists thanks to their peculiar shape of arches. Since 1975 they have been considered as a refuge to protect marine flora and fauna and since 1984 as a National Park of Mexico.
Surrounded by other spectacular cliffs such as the rock of the turtle and the rock of the devil. The waters that surround them are considered the deepest in the bay between 9 and 450 meters.
Just 60 minutes by car from our beach house in Nuevo Vallarta you can find the town and beach of Mismaloya from where after traveling approximately 1000 meters to the south you can find these famous arches.
Also near Los Arcos you will find “The Aquarium” a part 10 to 15 meters deep where you can dive among different marine species and reefs.
A good trick to attract fish is to bring tortilla pieces, biscuit or bread to attract the fish so you can see them up close.
Finally we can say that it is also the home for birds such as pelicans, parakeets and other representative birds of the area.
Prepare your camera that is sure to keep a memory of this impressive place.
